China abused by police

Chinese sex workers are saying that the police are physically assaulting and arbitrary detentions and extortion. The HRW or also known as the Human Rights Watch are being brought into HIV testing and are trying to re educate them about it. In China prostitution  is illegal and so the government is feeling the need to "crack down".  It is said that the people who are in prostitution  are becoming more vulnerable. A report is said that there are near 140 interviews that people have made with sex workers, police and specialists. The sex workers are saying that they were beat by the police and that the police did it because they wanted them to confess to prostitution. One of the sex workers told the HRW that the police tied them to trees and threw freezing cold water on them then beat them. Apparently the police just wanted them to sign their name and say they wouldn't do it again and they would be let go after a few days. If you do not sign your name will be locked up in an Education center for around 6 months.
